Spay/Neuter is only one important element in reducing the crisis of overpopulations in animal shelters, but it’s working.
Our mobile spay/neuter clinics are held in local parks where we are able to provide the surgery to safely fix animals on site with licensed veterinarians.
Since the inception of the FIX LONG BEACH program in 2013, the number of animals taken into our local shelter as well as the number of animals being euthanized in Long Beach have drastically reduced.
All Spay/Neuter Surgeries for dogs through Fix Long Beach are by Appointment Only. Request an Appointment for your dog.
Cats are fixed at a local veterinarian with a voucher.
If you have a cat, please come to the voucher table at any of our events to get a voucher.
We welcome you to bring your leashed dog between 9am and 3pm to our mobile clinics and take advantage of some of our other low cost or free services. No appointment is necessary.
Whether you own a pet or not, we need the help of other animal lovers in our community to continue our spay/neuter efforts for the pets of low income residents of Long Beach.
